Yesterday’s sunshine in the evening was history, but another great day awaited us nonetheless. It started out uneventful, as glacier’s are the quiet type most of the time. But then the script mother Nature writes gave us some action. A pod of Beluga, counting at least six whales, turned up right in front of said glacier. They kept swimming up and down the fjord and were quite a sight!
In the afternoon we visited a colony of Little Auks, thousands and thousands of them. Another visitor, not seen by many, was an Arctic Fox. Occasionally, as we waited for quite some time, one or the other Reindeer would check us out!
