Setting foot on the 7th Continent

The islands along the Antarctic Peninsula are a beautiful world of penguins porpoising, seals hanging out and huge ice sculptures floating about, but to step onto mainland Antarctica gives me an extra thrill.

Neko Harbour has a penguin colony and scenery one can only dream of. The glacier calving into the sea distracts occasionally from penguin chicks chasing their parent around or listening to the adult Gentoo warning off the Skuas.
