The Antarctic Peninsula

Why would I even want to come down here? What is there to see, except ice and snow?

Well first I have to tell you, there are indeed a lot of spectacular ice formations, a lot of snow, sea and mountainous landscape to see.

It’s visible population includes for example Wedell, Crabeater and Leopard Seals, Adelie, Chinstrap and Gentoo Penguins as well as Humpback, Minke and other whales. Skuas, a variety of Terns, Petrels and other birds swoop around too!

All those animals are fascinating to watch, but it’s not a zoo. They turn up on their own terms and one hast respect their space.

Now you’ll have to excuse me, I have to go and watch/stare some more!
